“Novel, located, controlled-release, drug-loaded Stent” received second prize of excellent exhibits in 2012 CIIF

Novel, located, controlled-release, drug-loaded Stent 

Nov. 10, the 2012 China International Industry Fair with a theme of Innovation and transformation of strategic emerging industry was successfully closed in Shanghai New International Expo Center. Pro. Guo leaded our lab team participated in this fair and at last “Novel, located, controlled-release, drug-loaded stent” researched by our lab was received the second class prize of all the excellent exhibits in university exhibition area. Among all those entered comics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, our lab’s exhibit was the second place.

The stent investigated by our lab is based on clinical SMA stent. Novel polymer materials combined with nanotechnology and unique process was used to make our special stent (Novel, located, controlled-release, drug-loaded). The stent innovated by Shengrong Guo lab can reduce or even eliminate the surgery pain and improve the treatment effect. The research did by Pro. Guo’s lab will lead a new direction in treatment of non-vascular tumor.
